My price depends on the length of the booking, the number of guests, the venue and whether sound and lighting are needed as well. I play parties of 50 to 200 guests, and you always get a fixed price confirmed in advance, with nothing added afterwards. Request a quotation with the date and the type of party and I will send you a concrete figure.

Yes. Let me know in your enquiry whether the venue already has a system; if it has not, I bring a suitable sound and lighting rig and include it in the fixed price.

My Saturdays in the wedding season are often taken six months to a year ahead. For weekday evenings and at short notice I regularly still have room. Enquire about your date without obligation.

Depending on the nature of the party, I set up at least 1.5 hours before the start and do a soundcheck and lighting check, so everything is ready before your guests arrive. If the venue only becomes available later, I schedule that with them in advance. I take everything down myself afterwards, usually within about 45 minutes.

Yes, it is all about you. I always ask for a playlist, your preferred music styles and anything you absolutely do not want to hear. We also agree a short running order, and I would like to know what kind of crowd you are expecting. Within that, I build the evening on what the dance floor is doing. Requests from guests are welcome.

I work within a radius of 40 km around Amersfoort: from Het Gooi and Flevoland in the north to the Veluwe in the east and the Kromme Rijn area in the south. I like working locally, because it lets me build a better connection and I know the area well.

For an average set-up one free, earthed 16-amp circuit is enough. For a larger room or extra lighting two circuits are preferable. I check this with the venue in advance.

Yes. After booking you receive a booking confirmation from me stating the date, the times, the venue, what I provide and the fixed price. That way we both know exactly where we stand.

Certainly. Personal contact matters a lot to me, so the first thing I do is give you a call. Depending on what you would like, we can then arrange a follow-up, by phone or at the venue. It is free and without obligation, and for a wedding in particular it is the best way to go through the day together.

A party evening usually comes to four or five hours of playing time with me, for example from 21.00 to 01.00. Longer or shorter is possible as well; the agreed start and finishing times are in the booking confirmation, so the venue and its staff know what to expect.

Yes, I am happy to cover your whole wedding day: background music as guests arrive, the tracks for walking in and out of the ceremony, quiet music during the dinner and the party after that. With one point of contact no gap falls between the parts of the day. Of course you can also book me just for the party.

Yes, a microphone comes as standard with my set-up. Say with your enquiry whether anyone will be speaking and how many speakers there are, and the microphone will be ready with the sound set for it.

Yes. You choose the track yourself; if you like, I shorten it or start it at exactly the right moment, and let the lighting follow the moment. Agree with me beforehand when the guests may join in and the first dance runs into the party of its own accord.

Yes, provided there is power and my equipment stays dry. At an outdoor venue three things decide it: an earthed circuit within reach, a cover over the set, and the finishing time the municipality or the venue applies. I go through those points with you in advance.

That is no problem, but I need to know beforehand. A limiter caps the room at a maximum number of decibels; I match the rig and the build of the evening to it, so the music is not cut off halfway through. Ask your venue and pass it on to me.

Allow roughly two metres by two for the table and the speakers, preferably on the dance floor side and near a socket. Where there is less space I can make the set-up more compact; send the dimensions with your enquiry.

That is decided by the venue or the municipal licence, not by me. In function rooms 01.00 or 02.00 is usual; for a party in a garden or a marquee the curfew is often earlier. Ask the venue for the finishing time and pass it on to me, and I will match the build of the evening to it.

Yes, and that is what makes the biggest difference on the day itself. Beforehand I am in touch about power, loading and unloading, the noise limit and the curfew; on the day about the timeline with speeches, dinner and the opening of the dance floor. You do not have to be the go-between.

Then I change the set. An empty floor is information: the track, the tempo or the moment is wrong. That is why I do not play from a fixed list but from what the room is doing: back to something familiar, the tempo down or up, and build again.

Yes. My foundation is House, Disco, Trance and Latin, combined with contemporary music and with a strong focus on the 80s, 90s and 00s. Dutch-language songs, singalongs and classics fit in well alongside that. What I actually play depends on your guests and on your own list of wishes and no-gos.

Yes, please do: I always ask for a playlist, and a shared playlist is the easiest way to pass on what you want. Put in it what definitely has to be played and make a second list of what you absolutely do not want to hear. To me that second list is worth just as much as the first.

The payment arrangement is set out in the booking confirmation you receive after booking, together with the fixed price, the date and the times. No costs will be added that are not stated in it.

Please get in touch as soon as possible. Moving the date is only possible if the new date is also available. Cancelling up to one month before the agreed date costs nothing. If you cancel later than that, it depends on the preparation work I have already done.

Yes. A corporate party needs a different build from a wedding: background music people can talk through first, then a moment for the speech or the awards, and only after that the dance floor. I agree that order with the organiser beforehand.

Yes. The microphone and the sound are ready, I turn the music off and back on at the agreed moment, and if you like I play a tune or jingle for each item. Supply the order and the times and it runs without any fuss with cables during the moment itself.

Yes. An afternoon party, a reception or a birthday party starting at 16.00 is perfectly possible. During the day the volume is lower and the lighting is less visible, so I adjust the set-up for that. It also saves on the cost if no lighting rig is needed.

That is exactly when reading the room counts. A birthday party with grandchildren and the generation above them calls for familiar tracks early in the evening and the harder material only later. Tell me with your enquiry what kind of crowd you expect, in terms of age and groups, and I will build the set around it.
