What goes wrong at a party in Eemnes, and how I handle it

  In advance I check with the venue how many free, earthed circuits there are. If there is only one, I choose the set-up to suit that rather than taking the risk.

Parties in Eemnes

A party in the polder means open space, and open space means the sound goes off in every direction. With no walls to bounce off, a rig quickly sounds thin. I place the speakers closer to the crowd and steer the bass instead of winding it up, so the sound stays full on the dance floor while the surroundings notice little of it.

In Eemnes people celebrate in village halls, on farmyards, in converted barns and in gardens along the Wakkerendijk and the Meentweg.
