Corporate party DJ in Amersfoort and the surrounding area
A staff party, an anniversary or Christmas drinks: I work with a tight running order and sound that carries the speeches as well.

A staff party has a programme, not a set list
At a corporate party something almost always happens before the dancing starts: a word from the management, an award, a farewell or the launch of the new year. That programme decides how the evening runs. I make sure the transitions work: from background music during the drinks to a microphone that does its job, and after that a clear moment at which the party begins.
Where it usually goes wrong, and how I prevent it
- Speeches that cannot be heard. I ask beforehand who is speaking and how many people there will be, so that I bring the right microphone and amplification.
- An evening that peaks too early. If the curfew is at 23.00, I set the build-up of the evening to that instead of the plug being pulled halfway through.
- A venue that is not a function room. An office, warehouse or studio often has too few free power circuits. I check that in advance, so I do not discover it on the night.
- An audience that stays seated. Colleagues among themselves are more reserved than guests at a wedding. The first twenty minutes after the opening decide the rest of the evening.
I set up at least 1.5 hours before the start, with a soundcheck and lighting check, so that everything is ready before the first colleagues come in. Afterwards I take everything down myself, usually within about 45 minutes.
Arranged on a business footing
You get a booking confirmation from me with the date, the times, the venue, what I supply and the fixed price, all confirmed in advance.
Christmas drinks, an anniversary or a summer party
For Christmas drinks and end-of-year events my diary fills up quickly in December, so for that period it is sensible to book early. Summer parties are more often outdoors. There, power, shelter from the weather for the equipment and the noise limit set by the municipality are the deciding factors, and I set them down in the booking confirmation beforehand.
What is included as standard
Sound matched to the room
I choose the system on the basis of the number of guests and the dimensions of the venue, and match it to the noise limit of the location.
Atmospheric lighting
Lighting that dresses the dance floor without overpowering the room. At a classic venue I deliberately keep the set-up restrained.
Running order and coordination
I talk to the venue about power, loading and unloading and the finishing time, and draw up a timeline that fits the speeches, dinner and the opening of the dance floor.
Microphone
For speeches, a toast or an announcement. Say in your enquiry whether anyone will be speaking, and I will have the microphone ready.
Your music, your limits
In advance you send me your playlist, your preferred music styles and the tracks you definitely do not want to hear. Within that, I build the evening on what the floor is doing.
Fixed price confirmed in advance
The booking confirmation sets out the fixed price, the date, the times, the venue, what I supply and the payment arrangement. No costs are added that are not in it.

A good evening does not come from a fixed playlist. It comes from reading the room: seeing who is there, hearing where the energy is and daring to switch when the floor asks for something other than what was on the list. Sometimes that means leaving out a track I love myself, because it does not work at that moment.
The other half of my work is less visible: talking to the venue about power, noise limits and the finishing time, a running order that fits the speeches and dinner, and a set-up that suits the room. On the night itself that saves exactly the half hour in which things otherwise go wrong.

Frequently asked questions
Can you play a staff party with speeches and a programme?
Yes, I run a staff party from a tight running order. Speeches, an award ceremony or a kick-off get a fixed slot, with a microphone ready, and the music follows on seamlessly. That way there is no gap in which everyone sits down again.
How large can a corporate party be?
I play at corporate parties with 50 to 200 guests. I choose the sound system based on the number of colleagues and the space, and tune it to the noise limit of the venue.
Do you also play at a company Christmas party or anniversary?
Yes, I play a company Christmas party, anniversary or summer party the same way: relaxed background music during drinks and then a clear moment when the party starts. For an anniversary with family present, also see the party DJ for an anniversary.
How do the invoice and payment work for our company?
The payment arrangement is in the booking confirmation you receive after booking, together with the fixed price, the date and the times. No costs are added that are not in it. If you have a purchase order number or a fixed payment term, pass it on with your enquiry via the form for a business booking.
Do you work with the venue and the event organiser?
Yes, I consult the venue beforehand about power, loading and unloading and the end time, and match the timeline to the programme. If an event agency or a master of ceremonies is involved, I include their arrangements in the running order.
What music do you play at a corporate party?
At a corporate party I start with familiar music that is not too fast, so colleagues can keep talking, and build up once the floor is full. My basis is House, Disco, Trance and Latin with current music and the 80s, 90s and 00s. Listen to my styles for a business party.
Can you play at a business venue with a noise limit?
Yes, I tune the system to the noise limit of the venue. With a compact set-up closer to the dance floor it sounds full on the floor, while the rest of the space and the surroundings notice less of it.
What time do you arrive for a corporate party?
I set up at least one and a half hours before the start and do a sound check and lighting check, so that everything is ready before the first colleagues arrive. If the room is only free late, I plan the set-up with the venue beforehand. Taking down usually takes about 45 minutes.
Do you play corporate parties in Utrecht and the surrounding area?
Yes, corporate parties in Utrecht, for a business party in the city, Nieuwegein, for a staff party and Zeist, at a conference venue are all within my 40 km radius of Amersfoort.
How do I request a quote for a corporate party?
You request a fixed price by sending the date, the venue, the number of guests and the programme via the request for a corporate party. Rather call first? Get in touch about your business event. You will have an answer within one working day.
Check a date without obligation?
Leave your date, venue and type of party. Within one working day I let you know whether the date is free, with a fixed price. No surprises afterwards.
