From enquiry to last dance
No surprises, no small print. This is how it runs from the first email to clearing up afterwards.
Checking the date
You send the date, the town and the type of party. Within one working day you know whether the date is free and what it costs — a fixed amount, no “from” price.
Getting to know each other
Without obligation and free of charge, on location, by telephone or by video call. For a wedding in particular, this is the moment to go through the whole day.
Running order and music
You supply your must-plays and the tracks you definitely do not want to hear. Times, speeches and the opening of the dance floor are set down.
The party
Setting up well in advance, a soundcheck before the first guest is inside, and a tidy clear-up afterwards. All you have to do is dance.
Why people book DJ Paul
A good evening stands or falls on reading the room. Not on the most expensive set or the loudest subwoofer, but on the right track at the right moment — and on daring to switch when the floor asks for something other than what was on the list.
Besides that, a large part of the work comes before the evening: contact with the venue about power, noise limits and the finishing time, a running order that fits the speeches and the dinner, and a set-up that suits the room. On the day itself that saves exactly the half hour in which things otherwise go wrong.

Frequently asked questions about booking a DJ
What does a DJ cost for an evening?
The price depends on the length of the booking, the number of guests, the venue and whether sound and lighting are needed as well. You always get a fixed price in advance, with nothing added afterwards. Request a quotation with the date and the type of party and a concrete figure follows.
Do you work with a contract?
Yes. You receive a written booking confirmation stating the date, the times, the venue, what is being provided and the fixed price. That way both parties know exactly where they stand.
How and when do I pay?
The payment arrangement is in the booking confirmation you receive before the party, together with the fixed price, the date and the times. It also states whether a deposit applies and when the balance is expected. No costs are added that are not in it.
What if I have to cancel or want to move the date?
Get in touch as soon as you can. Moving a date often works if the new one is free. What applies on cancellation is in the terms and conditions and in your own booking confirmation — read those two through before you sign and you know in advance where you stand.
How quickly do I get a reply and what do you need from me?
You hear within one working day whether the date is still free. Useful to pass on straight away: the date, the town and the venue, the type of party, the expected number of guests and the start and finishing times. With those five details a concrete price can come with the answer.
Can I supply a Spotify list?
Yes, a shared playlist is the easiest way to pass on what you want. Put in it what definitely has to be played and make a second list of what you absolutely do not want to hear. In practice that second list is worth just as much as the first.
How far in advance should I book?
Saturdays in the wedding season are often taken six months to a year ahead. For weekday evenings and at short notice there is regularly still room. Enquire about your date without obligation.
What happens in the event of illness or a cancellation on your side?
If something unexpected gets in the way, a replacement is arranged through the network of fellow DJs, who takes over the music preferences you supplied. That is set down in the booking confirmation beforehand.
Can we meet beforehand?
Certainly. An introductory meeting — at the venue, by telephone or on a video call — is always possible and costs nothing. For a wedding in particular it is the best way to go through the day.
Do you play beyond the 40 kilometres around Amersfoort?
That can be arranged by agreement. Within the radius of roughly 40 kilometres no travel costs are charged; beyond it a travel fee is agreed in advance and taken into the fixed price. Just ask, with the name of the place.
Is your date still free?
Leave your date, venue and type of party. Within one working day you get an answer on whether the date is free, with a fixed price — no surprises afterwards.
